I had the absolute honour of doing graphic recording at the British Ecological Society annual meeting in Birmingham in December 2018. I sketchnoted the intro talk and all four plenaries (these were by Samuel M ‘Okukani’ōhi’a Gon, Danielle Lee, Ken Thompson, and Amy Austin), and did graphic recording at the following sessions: - Urban Ecology - Nature & Humans x2 - Across the aquatic-terrestrial boundary (an interactive session) - Long-term ecological experiments forever! (an interactive thematic session) - People and Nature (the introduction of BES’s newest journal!) - Saving the world with Lego: using Lego Serious Play to address research proposals (a workshop) - The inclusivity challenge (a workshop) Have a look to get a feel of some of what this rich and diverse conference had on offer!
